Blueprint '10 @ Newcastle University - "Enterprise Challenge"
Enterprise Challenge is open to all Newcastle University undergraduates, postgraduates and recent graduates, from all degree disciplines.
The annual competition is organised by the Careers Service, which also offers:
- Specialist business advice and support.
- Office facilities including hot desk, internet access and telephone.
- Start-up grants (subject to availability).
- A programme of events throughout the year to develop your knowledge, networks and business opportunities, such as the
- NU Enterprise Programme.
The NU Enterprise Programme is an intensive 6 week programme of free workshops for Newcastle University students and graduates who are already in business or looking to get started.
Delivered by a top team of leading entrepreneurs and business experts, the programme includes:
- Starter Sessions - find out what is involved in setting up a business in the UK, from writing a business plan to marketing your business effectively.
- Master classes - in-depth sessions aimed at those who already have an idea and a commitment to making it happen, as well as those already running their own business. Topics covered include market research, raising and managing finances and keeping it legal.
- Making connections - a one-off networking event that offers the chance to chat informally to a host of business experts and entrepreneurs.
